On-Page SEO

On-page SEO is all the optimization work carried out on a website itself in order to stand stronger in the organic search results. The discipline spans content and title tags, internal link structure and technical SEO such as speed, indexing and structured data. The common denominator: all of it sits inside the site owner's own control.

That is what separates on-page from off-page SEO, where the signals come from outside, primarily backlinks and mentions. Links have to be earned; your own pages can be improved tomorrow morning.

The core is always search intent. A page that ranks answers a concrete query, and the whole build reflects it: a title tag and H1 that match the query, headings that structure the answer, and content that covers the topic without filler. The technical and structural layers sit on top. Meta descriptions that earn clicks. Internal links that connect related pages and distribute authority. Images with alt text, short descriptive URLs, and structured data that helps the search engine understand what the page is.

Well-structured on-page work is also what the AI surfaces build on. When ChatGPT or Google's AI Overviews assemble an answer, they pull from pages that are easy to read: clear headings, direct answers, proper structure. Good on-page SEO therefore creates visibility in two places for the same effort. For the content half of the work there is the guide to content strategies.
